About

The Lagos Highlife & Afrobeat Collective is a fictional ensemble built for QA testing. This nine-piece band fuses classic highlife guitar lines, driving Afrobeat horn sections, and layered percussion into a set designed to fill any dance floor. The group performs original arrangements alongside beloved standards, and can scale from a compact five-piece for intimate events to a full horn-and-percussion lineup for festival stages. Fronted by two vocalists who trade lead lines in English, Yoruba, and Pidgin, the band brings warmth, showmanship, and an infectious rhythmic pulse that keeps audiences moving from the first downbeat to the encore.

Booking request guidance

Minimum notice: 168+ hours
Maximum length: Up to 5 hours

Books festival and wedding season (November through April) far in advance. Weeknight corporate sets possible with several weeks of notice. Ensemble size confirmed at booking.

Travel

Based in Lagos and available across Lagos State without travel fees. Available for festivals and events elsewhere in Nigeria and West Africa; travel, accommodation, and freight for backline are quoted per engagement.

Equipment

Full band supplies backline instruments, horn microphones, and stage monitors. For events over 200 guests or outdoors, client or venue provides front-of-house PA and a covered stage of at least 5 by 6 metres.

Accessibility

Band members can perform from a raised or ground-level stage. Reduced-volume acoustic-leaning sets available for mixed-audience community events on request.

Working policies

Booking is confirmed with a signed agreement and deposit. Cancellations within 21 days of the event forfeit the deposit. For outdoor events the client must provide a covered, dry stage and safe power. A green room or shaded holding area is requested for lineups of six or more. Final set length and song requests should be confirmed two weeks ahead.
