Terms of use

Readable rules before the first booking.

These pre-launch terms describe how Gig Byte is intended to operate without claiming inactive services or unfinished legal provisions.

01

Current status

Gig Byte is in a pre-launch stage. Public discovery, profile preparation and Music Brief intake may be available, but authenticated booking and payment services do not activate until the site identifies them as active. These terms do not pretend that inactive features are available.

02

Who may use Gig Byte

  • Users must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement.
  • Account information and professional claims must be accurate and current.
  • One person may use the platform in more than one role, including customer, performer, teacher or business representative.
03

Marketplace role

Gig Byte is designed to help independent customers and music professionals find one another, describe work and keep an agreement record. Gig Byte is not the employer, talent agent, manager or insurer of marketplace users. A profile, identity check or payment account does not equal a background check or guarantee.

04

Requests and agreements

  • A Music Brief is an opportunity request—not a job contract, booking, promise or charge.
  • After signing in and confirming a private hiring identity, a customer may share a redacted request with approved providers.
  • Provider interest is private and non-binding. It is not a bid, guarantee of work or permission to contact the customer outside Gig Byte.
  • A booking exists only when the customer and provider accept the same agreement version.
  • Changes to price, date, scope, venue or requirements must create a new version for acceptance.
  • Users remain responsible for permits, venue rules, union requirements and lawful performance rights that apply to their engagement.
05

Accounts and security

  • Keep sign-in credentials and verification codes private.
  • Notify Gig Byte promptly about unauthorized access.
  • Gig Byte may suspend access to protect users, investigate misuse, comply with law or enforce marketplace standards.
  • Do not attempt to evade another account’s suspension or platform safeguards.
06

Member content

Members retain ownership of content they upload. They grant Gig Byte a limited, nonexclusive license to host, process, display and transmit that content only as needed to operate, secure and promote the member’s Gig Byte profile and marketplace activity. Members must have the rights and permissions required for every upload.

07

Prohibited use

  • Fraud, impersonation, harassment, discrimination, threats or unsafe conduct.
  • Malware, scraping, automated abuse, security testing without permission or interference with the service.
  • Payment evasion, false reviews, manipulation of rankings or misleading professional claims.
  • Content that infringes copyright, privacy, publicity or other rights.
08

Legal provisions awaiting review

Final governing-law, dispute-resolution, warranty and limitation-of-liability language has not been approved. Gig Byte will not present placeholder arbitration or liability language as final. Transactional launch remains blocked until Florida counsel approves the complete terms and the business publishes a formal notice address.
