Trust and launch policies

Clear boundaries are part of the product.

Gig Byte should earn trust through specific signals, readable agreements and honest limits—not broad promises it cannot prove.

Privacy by sequence

Public profiles show a service region, never a private address. Exact event details should unlock only after both sides have an agreement.

Specific verification

Gig Byte will name exactly what was checked. Email and Stripe payment identity are not the same as a background check.

Reviews with receipts

Only completed platform bookings can produce booking reviews. Both parties receive a review opportunity.

Documented changes

A changed price, date, scope or requirement creates a new agreement version. Previously accepted terms remain visible.

Human disputes

Automated status helps organize evidence; it does not replace a fair review by the platform operator.

Worldwide, deliberately

Discovery can be global while transactions expand only where Stripe Connect, tax and payout support are ready.

Proposed cancellation framework

Preparation deserves protection.

This working policy must be reviewed by Florida counsel before transactions activate.

More than 30 days beforeRefund remaining customer payments except the deposit and any approved nonrecoverable costs.
8–30 days beforeDeposit remains nonrefundable; additional cancellation amount may reflect committed preparation.
7 days or fewerFull booking amount is generally due because the artist reserved the date and may not replace the work.

Payment boundaries

Delayed payout—not escrow.

Stripe Connect can separate platform fees and artist transfers, but Gig Byte must not market itself as a licensed escrow service.

25% depositCollected when the customer and artist accept the same booking version.
75% balanceDue seven days before, or immediately when booking inside seven days.
10% customer feeShown before payment and separated from the artist’s agreed performance price.
48-hour windowArtist payout is delayed while either party may open a documented performance dispute.
