About

The Donaustadt String Quartet is a fictional Vienna ensemble created for QA testing. Four seasoned string players bring a refined, versatile sound to weddings, corporate galas, gallery openings, and memorial services. Their library spans the classical canon, film and stage favourites, and tasteful arrangements of contemporary songs, so a ceremony can move seamlessly from a baroque processional to a modern first-dance melody. The quartet prides itself on impeccable presentation, punctual load-in, and a calm, attentive presence that complements rather than competes with the occasion. Planning is handled in German and English to serve both local and international clients.

Travel

Performs throughout Vienna and Lower Austria with local travel included. Available across Austria and neighbouring countries for galas and destination weddings; travel and accommodation quoted for distant engagements.

Equipment

Quartet brings instruments, folding chairs, and music stands. Discreet amplification is available for larger rooms and gardens; for events over 150 guests a house PA is recommended and can be coordinated.

Accessibility

Requires seated performance space at floor level; step-free access preferred for instrument load-in. Softer, contemplative programmes available for memorials. Large-print orders of service accommodated when cueing music.

Working policies

A deposit secures the booking and is refundable up to 30 days before the event. A custom-arrangement request should be made at least four weeks ahead. Outdoor performances require shade and a dry, level surface; instruments cannot be exposed to rain or direct heat. The ceremony or event timeline should be confirmed one week prior.
